~ I Am Very Sorry

~ I Am Very Sorry

I am very sorry I have not posted anything in a while… Well not really.

I have been playing in my new boat. I got it two weeks ago.

Once I took it out for a spin I just couldn’t get out of it.

Persistence and Patience Does pay off!

It has been three years since I intended to get one.

Dream until your dreams come true!
Never give up on what you want.
Anything is possible.

There was a time when I thought I would never get one but I released those negative thoughts and stayed focused on my Desire.

Some people say Desires cause suffering.

I disagree; I say Desire is the driving force of us all.
It is the attachment or thought of not obtaining our desires that cause suffering.

Let those thoughts go. Keep focused on what you want no matter how long it takes.

What desires would you like to have come true?

~Generating New Ideas--- A System

Generating New Ideas--- A System

Einstein believed that every new idea is some addition or modification to something that already exists.

So how do you generate new ideas?

You take an old subject, idea or problem and manipulate or change it into something else.

There are nine principle ways you can manipulate a subject.

These are arranged into the SCAMPER System.

You isolate the subject you want to think about and ask the SCAMPER questions to see what new ideas and thoughts emerge.

Think about any subject from improving the paperclip to reorganizing your corporation.

You'll find that ideas start popping up almost involuntarily, as you ask if you can:

S = Substitute something?

C = Combine your subject with something else?

A = Adapt something to your subject?

M = Magnify or modify-add to it or change it in some fashion?

P = Put it to some other use?

E = Eliminate something from it?

R = Rearrange or reverse it?

~Finding Mentors

~Finding Mentors

What is a mentor?

Einstein, Edison and Newton are obvious mentors of mine on this blog.

They are mentors who have passed in this life but we can still learn from them.

The source of the modern use of the word mentor: a trusted friend, counselor or teacher, usually a more experienced person.

Some professions have "mentoring programs" in which newcomers are paired with more experienced people in order to obtain good examples and advice as they advance, and schools sometimes have mentoring programs for new students or students who are having difficulties.

Today mentors provide their expertise to less experienced individuals in order to help them advance their careers, enhance their education, and build their networks. Many of the world's most successful people have benefited from having a mentor.

One of my living mentors is Dr Joe Vitale. I have learned so much in the few months I have been online.

~Purpose

~Purpose

All Three were considered to be Scientist with a slight difference

Einstein and Newton wanted to discover how the universe worked.

Edison wanted to invent things.

Einstein and Newton used their minds to understand how the universe worked and became successful.

Edison used his mind to invent products for us all to use he became very successful.

Bill Gate knew he wanted Windows on every computer built.

Christina Aguilera knew she wanted to sing.

John Travolta knew he wanted to be an actor.

~Persistence

~Persistence

A quality that seems to describe how Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison were so successful is persistence.
One of Edison’s new challenges was to develop a better storage battery for use in electric vehicles. Edison very much enjoyed automobiles and owned a number of different types during his life, powered by gasoline, electricity, and steam.
Edison thought that electric propulsion was clearly the best method of powering cars, but realized that conventional lead-acid storage batteries were inadequate for the job.
Edison began to develop an alkaline battery in 1899. It proved to be Edison’s most difficult project, taking ten years to develop a practical alkaline battery.

~I’m So Sick and Tired

~I’m So Sick and Tired

"Discontent is the first necessity of progress."
--Thomas A. Edison

I’m sick and tired of not having any money.

I’m sick and tired of my job.

I’m sick and tired of my boss.

I’m sick and tired of living this way.

I’m so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

How many times are you going to say I’m so sick and tired of this before YOU change it?

Stop doing what you’re doing!
