~Spare time

~Spare time

Albert Einstein was completely exhausted.

For the third night in a row, his baby son Hans, crying, kept the household awake until dawn. When Albert finally dozed off … it was time to get up and go to work.

He couldn't skip a day. He needed his job at the patent office to support his young family.

Walking briskly to the Patent Office, where he was a "Technical Expert, Third Class," Albert worried about his mother. She was getting older and frail, and she didn't approve of his marriage to Mileva.

Relations were strained.

Albert glanced at a passing shop window. His hair was a mess; he had forgotten to comb it again.
Work. Family. Making ends meet. Albert felt all the pressure and responsibility of any young husband and father.

In 1905, at the age of 26 and four years before he was able to get a job as a professor of physics, Einstein published five of the most important papers in the history of science--all written in his "spare time."

You’re working that crummy low paying job…

You’re working so hard all you want to do is sleep…

You want to call in but you cant afford to…

The kids are getting on your nerves…

Money problems are causing friction between you and your wife…

And your mother isn’t helping matters much…

What are you doing in your spare time?
Watching TV, surfing the web, drinking beer, talking on the phone…

Einstein wrote papers on Relativity.

You could write a book, build a website, and create a blog.
Heck maybe someday somebody will actually read the darn thing…

I’m going to go chop some wood now!

~Failure? There’s A Way!

~Failure? There’s A Way!

Nearly everyone has heard that Thomas Edison failed hundreds of times while trying to invent the electric light bulb. Those who did not know how to convert failure into success simply said the electric light bulb will never work.

However, those who asserted that the light bulb was not possible missed a chance for great wealth. Thomas Edison, by contrast, knew that his problems and failures would lead him to his success.

He used his failures to isolate what he needed to know. He persevered despite countless problems and obstacles, and eventually lit up the world. Yes, Thomas Edison became a very wealthy man as he used his failures to bring him--and everyone else--great success

Einstein said, “I think and think for months and year. Ninety-nine times the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right.”

Edison and Einstein were perfect examples. Both were called geniuses, but neither one liked that title. Remember, it was Edison himself who gave us that famous definition of genius: "One percent inspiration and 99% perspiration."

The problem with too many people today is that they're not willing to perspire long enough, if at all.

They want their success instantly, but it rarely comes that way. We have to be willing to fail first.

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."--Thomas A. Edison

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."--Thomas A. Edison

“There’s a way, find it”. Thomas Edison

~Please help!

~Please help!

I Love Animals.

I have three dogs a golden lab, a rottweiler a husky and three cats.

All were rescued or adopted.

I try to do anything I can to help a distressed animal.
I give them all of the love and affection in the world but unfortunately there are millions of animals that are mistreated and unloved.

Some of them are treated so badly they are near death due to starvation and abuse.

The ASPCA is an organization that rescues abused animals and tries to bring animals back to health, rehabilitates the animal and then adopts the animal to good homes.

I'm a Squidoo lensmaster, and I'm inviting you to join me and thousands of everyday experts already spreading ideas, information, and recommendations on Squidoo.com

How can you Help?

When you visit http://www.squidoo.com/threegeniuses/ and click through the ads or make a purchase the proceeds are donated to the ASPCA to help abused animals.

By starting your own easy-to-build page, called a "lens", you can share insight on a topic you care a lot about, build credibility online, send more traffic to your Web site or blog, and even earn some cash or donate that cash to your favorite charity.

What comes around goes around.

Together we can make a difference!

Thanks, and have fun!

~What Will You Be Remembered By

~While using the technique discussed in the previous post I had one of those moments!
So I am writing it down!

Everyone knows Edison for his perfection of the light bulb and his thousands of patents.

Everyone knows Einstein for his theory of Relativity and his incredible good looks.

Everyone knows Newton for his Discovery of gravity and the three laws of motion.

That put me to thinking…

There are things I must be aware of in creating this blog.

Sometimes people remember you for the good that you do.

Sometimes people remember you for the bad that you do.

Sometimes people remember you for your looks.

Sometimes people remember you for your honesty.

Sometimes people remember you for your friendship.

Sometimes people remember you for your contributions.

Sometimes people remember you for your kindness.

Sometimes people remember you for your patients.

Sometimes people remember you for your respect.

Sometimes people remember you for your actions.

So what would I like to be remembered by?

What will I be remembered by?

What would you like to be remembered by?

~Power Napping

~Edison used power napping to catch up on much-needed rest and to give his phenomenal brain a break from conscious effort, allowing his unconscious processes to do the genius thinking for him.

Let's see how that worked...

During his day, Edison would take time out by himself and relax in a chair or on a sofa.

Invariably he would be working on a new invention and seeking creative solutions to the problem he was dealing with. He knew that if he could get into that "twilight state" between being awake and being asleep, he could access the pure creative genius of his subconscious mind.

To prevent himself from crossing all the way over the "genius gap" into deep sleep, he would nap with his hand propped up on his elbow while he clutched a handful of ball-bearings. Then he would just drift off to sleep, knowing that his subconscious mind would take up the challenge of his problem and provide a solution. As soon as he went into too deep a sleep, his hand would drop and the ball-bearings would spill noisily on the floor, waking him up again. He'd then write down whatever was in his mind.

Sometimes I feel as though I just can not get enough sleep so I use this technique when I need to catch up on some rest and get new ideas for the blog. There is a power of giving a problem to the subconscious mind and having it solve it for you. Dont forget the pen and paper!

Write everything down no matter how silly it sounds. Sooner or later you will find a place for what came to you.

~My First Blunders

~My First Blunders

One of the first blunders or mistakes I have made was right from the start when I created the blog.

I titled the blog soeeae.blogspot.com the initials were to represent the "serets of edison, einstein and newton". The mistake was the E at the end of soeeae instead of an N. So I decided to name the blog threegenius.blogspot.com. I thought it sounded better.

I am quite sure at this point in time no one really noticed. I dont know if it will have any impact on search engines but I hope in the long run it will work out for the better.

Sometimes I find myself trying to put the cart before the horse.

The next thing that came to mind was that I was trying to hide my mistakes. I have decided to log them. Everyone makes mistakes.

You have to know what your mistakes are before you can learn from and change them.

The next issue is when I have to correct my mistakes it takes up more of my time. Which at this point I have very little.

There are only two things you can do with your time:
spend it or invest it.

Use it being productive or its gone forever.

But the key word here is "productivity."

Successful thinkers value their time... they know what they are worth and are continuously cautious about how they utilize this precious asset.

~Everyone Has Obstacles-Disabilities

~Everyone Has Obstacles-Disabilities

Consider this: Albert Einstein did not speak until he was four years old and could not read until he was seven years old. Even as an adult Einstein found that searching for words was laborious. He found school work, especially math, difficult and was unable to express himself in written language.

He was thought to be simple minded (retarded), until it was realized that he was able to achieve by visualizing rather than by the use of language.

Thomas Edison’s teachers told him he was too stupid to learn anything.

Sir Isaac Newton did poorly in grade school. and was thought to have what we call today ADD.(Attention Deficit Disorder).

Around the age of twelve, Edison lost almost all his hearing. There are several theories as to what caused his hearing loss. Some attribute it to the aftereffects of scarlet fever which he had as a child. Others blame it on a conductor boxing his ears after Edison caused a fire in the baggage car, an incident which Edison claimed never happened.Edison himself blamed it on an incident in which he was grabbed by his ears and lifted to a train. He did not let his disability discourage him, however, and often treated it as an asset, since it made it easier for him to concentrate on his experiments and research.~ Don't let obstacles deter you. If you hit a wall, use your creativity and imagination to dissolve it.When Isaac Newton reached an impasse in his work because the existing mathematics were inadequate, he created calculus. All of us have some sort of obstacle or disability. How do you wish to use yours, as an asset or liability?

~Keepin It Simple

~Keepin It Simple

"The greatest results in life are usually attained by simple means, and the exercise of ordinary qualities."

Einstein said, “Everything should be made as simple as possible.”
One of the ways Einstein made things simple was to play.

Great results cannot be achieved all at once; and we must be satisfied to advance in life as we walk, step by step.

Rome was not built in a day.

Learning HOW TO WAIT is a great secret of success.

" We must sow before we can reap, and often have to wait long".

A giant redwood tree takes hundreds of years to mature.

The fruit best worth waiting for often ripening the slowest.

To wait patiently, however, men must work cheerfully.

Cheerfulness and play is an excellent working quality, imparting great elasticity to the character.

Cheerfulness and diligence are nine-tenths of practical wisdom. They are the life and soul of success, as well as of happiness; perhaps the very highest pleasure in life consisting in clear, brisk, conscious working; energy, confidence, and every other good quality mainly depending upon it.

If we are not cheerful and playful about our work it eventually shows.

When you cheerfully do work you are more likely to do your best.

When you are playful work is not a chore, it is a pleasure.

When your work is based on something that you are naturally interested in you are naturally
motivated to spend as much time working on it as possible-and far more driven to make it a huge success!

"All these constructions and the laws connecting them can be arrived at by the principle of looking for the mathematically simplest concepts and then link between them."--Albert Einstein

Einstein:

Physics and math teacher.SpeakerHollywood star"father of atomic energy,"Einstein wrote many theoretical papers on the topic of physics.

In 1905, Einstein examined Max Plancks phenomenon about electromagnetic theory. He used this hypothesis to explain electromagnetic radiation and the photoelectric effect.

In 1911, Einstein became a professor at Karl-Ferdinand University in Prague, and in 1912, Einstein started his research on gravitational forces and called it the General Theory of Relativity.

In 1921, Einsttein recieved a Nobel Prize for his work on the photoelectric effect from 1905.

It was June 1905 when Einstein published his breakthrough theory on the relativity of time and space. Later in September, Einstein unveiled his famous theory, e=mc squared, or energy equals mass times the speed of light squared.

He had supreme self-confidence in his ability to sniff out the true nature of the world, and he did that not by experiment, but just by thought, by pure thought.

He did this wonderful thing called the Gedanken experiment, which from the German translates to "thought" experiment. And if he needed an experiment, he would imagine it, very cheap form of experiment. But he would just imagine, like an elevator falling through space with its cable cut, and imagine what happened if you did an experiment inside that freely falling elevator.

Edison:

Edison published and printed his own newspaper he invented and patented the electric vote recorder. His search for new telegraphic applications allowed him to start a service delivering financial news to brokerages.Edison invented the universal stock tickerHe opened a laboratory and factory in Newark.
He invented the motograph and automatic telegraph system. He also invented the duplex and multiplex telegraph systems. Not only that, he also invented wax paper and the carbon rheostat.Edison invented the electric pen used for the first mimeographs. The next year he improved the mimeograph machinehe did invent a speaker diaphragm improvement to the device in 1877, at age 30. His device made the telephone commercially practical. That same year, Edison invented the phonograph. He used an electromagnetic powered needle to scratch a waveform in a wax cylinder. For his test recording, he recited the poem "Mary Had a Little Lamb" into a speaker diaphragm he had invented for the telephone. Then by rotating the wax cylinder at the same speed that was used to make the recording, the vibration of the needle now created an electrical current through the electromagnet, resulting in sound coming from a speaker.perfected the incandescent lampHe also invented the Edison dynamo—his version of a device for creating a steady supply of direct current (DC) electricity. Along with his engineers, Edison developed a system of distribution and regulation of electric current.invented the magnetic ore separator and discovered the "Edison Effect"Edison General Electric Company o=\pened the first electric power station in New York City.developed a wireless induction telegraph systeminvented the motion picture camera.Edison created an electric chairhe invented the fluoroscope, which photographs x-rays. That same year, he also invented the fluorescent electric lampinvented the nickel-iron-alkaline storage batterystarted the Edison Portland Cement Companyhad invented the phonographhe invented the electric safety miner's lamp. His laboratory also discovered the process for making synthetic carbolic acid,

Newton:

Newton's accomplishments in life were many. Generally, he devoted much of his energy towards alchemy, theology, and history.

In 1668, Newton built the first reflecting telescope. During his lifetime he was involved in the development of calculus. It was Newton who struck upon the laws of motion and the law of gravitation. He sat in parliament, 1689-90. In 1696, he was appointed warden of the Mint; and then, in 1699, he was appointed the master of the Mint, a position which he held until his death. He sat again in parliament in 1701 for his university. In 1703, Newton was to become the president of the Royal Society, another post that he held at his death. In 1705, Newton was knighted by Queen Anne.

~Research

~Research

“If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it”?
Albert Einstein"

What is research?"

Research is about finding out.

It is about searching systematically for solutions to problems.

It is about rules to guide your search.
It is also about helping you to evaluate the research of others.

The term "research" has several meanings:

Research is a systematic, formal rigorous and precise process employed to gain solutions to problems and/or to discover and interpret new facts and relationships.

Research is the process of looking for a specific answer to a specific question in an organized objective reliable way.

Research is systematic, controlled, empirical and critical investigation of hypothetical propositions about the presumed relations among natural phenomena

2. Purposes of researchThe function of research is to either create or test a theory.

Research is the instrument used to test whether a theory is good or not.
It is the process by which data is gathered to generate a theory or used to test a theory.

There are different ways of conducting research. However any method you use will be based on the systematic collection and analysis of data. The emphasis here is on the word systematic.

This means you have to collect your data in an ordered manner, with a purpose in mind, and following certain rules about your mode of collection.

I did some research at the Library and bought a couple of books at the book store.

~The Theory

~The Theory

Einstein always said that the ultimate test of theory was success in explaining experimental results. But ultimately he realized that first you need a theory to know what experiments to perform.

Theory:
Anyone can use the success strategies of Edison, Einstein and Newton to Achieve a goal or desire.

What if we could change our life for the better by understanding a few simple rules that three of the greatest men known to history knew and used in only a few short weeks?

And what if I told you all three of these great men wholeheartedly admitted that they did not believe they were any more of a Genius than you or I?

And that there were just a few basic set of rules that they followed that created their success.

At the end of just a few short weeks you will see your life through a different set of eyes. You will feel empowered. You will realize without a doubt that you can overcome any and all obstacles that may arise if you simply follow the simple principles outlined below along with faith, persistence and patience.

Now that I have my theory, my goal or my desire to accomplish something, my curiosity to discover an unknown effect. That being to create a blog to discover, use and share success strategies of Edison Einstein and Newton . To make use of these strategies in creating a successful blog.

What is my definition of successful?

1 To help others become successful.
2 An interactive blog , high ranking, loaded with comments, success traits posts and linkbacks.

Therefore I think my next plan of action is to do some research.

~The Experiment

~The Experiment

1 a: TEST, TRIAL b: a tentative procedure or policy c: an operation carried out under controlled conditions in order to discover an unknown effect or law, to test or establish a hypothesis, or to illustrate a known law 2 obsolete: EXPERIENCE 3: the process of testing: EXPERIMENTATION

This Blog is an Experiment!

The Experiment:

My Intentions are to seek out, Discover and Use the Success Strategies and Secrets of Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison and Sir Isaac Newton to create a successful blog and or website.

I intend to use these Success Strategies for myself and then pass them along to you the reader.

I also intend to prove these same Success Straegies may be used on any goal or desire you may wish to obtain.

Key steps you’ll need to follow to get accurate data you can really use.

Following are the steps you take while doing your project.

Gather Background Information:

Gather information about your topic from books, magazines, the Internet, people and companies.

Keep notes about where you got your info.

Scientific MethodState the Purpose of your experiment - What are you trying to find out?

Select a variable (something you will change/vary) that will help you find your answer.

State your Hypothesis - your guess about what the answer will be.

Decide on and describe how you will change the variable you selected.

Decide on and describe how you will measure your results.

Run Controlled Experiment and Record Data:

Do the experiment as described above.Keep notes in one place.

Write down everything you can think of, you might need it later.

I Realize some of you fellow bloggers are already aware of certain success strategies and are much more proficient at writing than I but please be patient.
Feel free to join in.

My intentions are to write to the novice in a simple, practical and concise way that anyone may understand.

This is an open blog so I would appreciate any comments or contributions, good or bad as long as they are not rude or do not contribute to this blog in certain mannerisms.

If it helps you post a comment... if it doesn’t post a comment. If you have a success strategy post it.

I have three basic tools that I intend to use throughout the process.
A computer, a digital voice recorder, a journal and a Free Blog.

My biggest disadvantages at this point are:
Little knowledge of Blogging.
A limited experience on the internet.
Time and Energy.
I hope to overcome these very soon!

Life is nothing more than a series of experiments that you are given.
Until you figure out the outcome or conquer an experiment you will receive the same experiment over and over again.

Sounds kind of like your life does it not?

Every failure is simply an Experiment. Experiments are set up to see what results occur and to learn from doing them.

If Einstein Had A Blog

Einstein’s Blog

If Einstein was to use his imagination ("Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world") to create a blog these days he would probably keep it simple.

He felt "everything should be as simple as it is, but not simpler".

He would ponder a lot about how God would do a blog. He "wanted to know all of Gods thoughts: and once he figured them out the rest would be details".

Finally he would come to this conclusion,"God always takes the simplest way".

But what on earth would he write about?

He probably would not do a blog on Reality because "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one”!

Although he may explain how reality is just an illusion.

Reality isn’t that tough a subject, after all "a table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy"?

“I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best both for the body and the mind”.

Maybe he would do an article on gravity. No gravity was already done by an already famous blogger named Sir Isaac Newton.

Well perhaps he could improve on the gravity thing.

His blog should be on something he really knows something about; maybe Science would be a good thing to write about.

Einstein knew about science, but what the heck does he know about web blogging?

It may be time to do some research.

"If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it"?

But what if he made mistakes doing a blog?

“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new”.

Any advice on blogging Mr Einstein?

"Do not worry about your difficulties on blogging, I can assure you mine are still greater".

If his blog theories were not working or getting the results he wanted he would simpy change them.

"If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts".

He wouldn't let it get to him. He wouldn't go insane over it. He wouldn't keep doing the same thing again and again.

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Ultimately Einstein realized that first you need a theory or an idea to know what to write about. So what theory or idea is Mr. Einstein going to write about?

What if he were to have problems coming up with an idea?

"No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it".

So Mr. Einstein would probably take a break and go try to explain the laws of physics to a barmaid.

Once his mind had cleared he came to this conclusion:

"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile".

"One who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person".

” Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value”.

Now that he has an idea he would probably get to work on his blog. He would work on his blog day and night because he knew no meaning of Time.
When he wasn’t working on it day and night he would work on it in his spare time too.

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once”.
Time was an Illusion for Einstein too so he would probably get his blog finished within a year, and a miracle year it would be!

Top Ten Things I Do To Be Successful

Top Ten Things I Do Every Day To Be Successful

1. I read Joe Vitale's Blog at http://www.mrfire.blogspot.com/
every day.

The first post for today was "Top Ten Things I Do To Be Successful Every Day" as always, I was interested so I read on.

Joe went on to say" Aaron Potts started a great Internet experiment called “Simply Successful Secrets”.He invited bloggers to write a post about the 5-10 things they do most days (at least 4-5 days a week) that help them be successful.

Participating bloggers then "tag" other bloggers, inviting them to contribute to the experiment, revealing their own secrets to success.

Each blog post is linked back to Aaron’s original post and to the person who tagged them." Which brings me to number

2. I am always "conscious" of ways to be more successful, so I made a conscious decision to act and join in.

3. I am always "conscious" of how I can help other people.

4. I go outside, close my eyes, take a deep breath and connect with the sounds of Nature for about fifteen minuets.

5. Check all email from many different sources. Key do not spend too much time on email there is so much more to do.

6. I carry a digital recorder everywhere I go. Ideas come no matter where you are or what your doing.

7. I work on websites and blog entries at least eighteen hours a day.

8. Spend Time with my lovely Wife and all of my animals. The all love me dearly and I appreciate them and make Time for them.

9. Meditate one half an hour twice a day.

10. Say Hi to at least one new person everyday.

So there you have it.
We are all one so join in. Please link back here and on Joe and Aarons site. Together we can make it happen.

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.
Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation, and a foundation for inner security",
1950 Albert Einstein
